侯忠穎 《看不見的手》創作簡述

人相互存有關係的探求

一般人對「道」的認知，傾向於一種出世精神。就我認為「道」是一種入世精神，它是中庸，不偏不倚的折衷主義。並非只有遷客騷人，過著隱居山林的生活，對著大自然冥想觀想，才能體會「道」的真諦；關注人事間種種撲朔迷離的情感，關注社會中人類共性所產生的規律，我相信道在日常生活之中，存在人與人間的互動相處之中，不斷探索個人與人群之間的相互存有的關係，人與人之間情感的交流，人與人之間的情緒交融，人與人之間「一切手段」，所得到的一種共同處境與內心意識狀態。

身體形象追尋意識脈絡

在繪畫創作中，由於對人世的關注，「人」自然一直是我所關注描繪的對象。以人為主體進行創作的表現形式，一直為大眾所熟悉與廣為接受，也是西方多世紀以來的主流藝術形式，畫家描繪人的面容表情、肢體語言，與他人間的互動形象，經過巧妙安排，用心佈局，將創作者意圖點出，表現內心情感。

但面容表情未必是人身最真實部分，我們彷彿都帶著一層面具般，人與人之間的情感交流隔著總是一層屏障，在激烈社會競爭與功利主義掛帥的大環境下，我們很少真實面對他人，甚至看不清真實自我樣貌為何。

而在這尋找真實自我的過程中，我試圖放棄帶有以面容表情的人體表現人的意象，尋求其他方式。

首先「解構人體外在形象」，將人的形象拆解、抽離，符合無法正視人性全貌的現實感受，局部化肢體、器官以取代「全」的人體，將「手」視為「人」整體的濃縮轉換，代表人的「內在心靈感受」及「外在行為象徵」。

為何這一系列作品選擇以手為主體用來代表人的意象，可從四個面向進行探討，第一：從內在心靈感受的部分來說，六根為感官，以觸覺靈敏的手為「身」感代表，象徵所感知週遭的一切變化，塵世間所經歷的種種。

第二：從外在行為的部分來說，人既然貴為”萬物之靈”，想必不單只是因為大腦較其他生物來的優異，而我們能擁有一雙靈活的巧手也是必要關鍵，靈活的關節與筋脈可以在收縮間完成各種動作姿態，執行各種意念，臻至「功」效。

第三：手掌與手指之間複雜的神經與血管構造，在掌心外層皮膚之下若隱若現，交織混合產生豐富多變的顏色變化，就像人內心情感一般多變複雜。

第四：「手」是人與人之間溝通聯繫的橋樑，它不僅是身體的一部分，也是我們與人溝通中最好的工具，手語是一種語言，最簡單的握手，牽手以及擁抱皆可傳遞情感，聯繫人心，藉由手來做編織與構成，來表現人與人之間複雜情理。

第五：《周易》以簡單卻具體的陰陽二爻交疊組合描繪出抽象的世間萬千事物。本著同樣的精神，以具體的身體部分(即手)來排列交疊成我所要表達這的諸多現象。

寓大千變化於手

因為手的靈活，我利用手的編織、組合、模擬、變化來構成畫面，產生複雜又耐人尋味的繪畫語言，單隻手利用姿態來言語，手動作出不同的姿態，而不同的姿態也產生不同的意涵，如<孰贏>(圖一)中手擺出猜拳動作，並非畫出真實的剪刀、石頭、布三種物件，而是利用手來模擬再現，呈現三種物件關係以及這遊戲背後的深層意涵；多隻手可以搭配組合來表意，<混沌>(圖二)畫面中兩隻手隨即組成一個場域空間的關係，與雙手掌握的意象；另外，手掌紋路的應用，創造出符號，符號又延伸出深層的形而上意涵，<旅程>(圖三)中眾多青年的手圍成圓圈，而所有姻緣線又連成另一個隱含在畫面之中的圓，姻緣線在此是生命線的借代，而連成一個圓圈的生命線象徵生命之圓，創造出一個獨特的繪畫語言。
